The Spanish Grand Prix will be held today and after qualifying it looks like Mercedes will dominate the race. The team was clearly faster in qualifying and the racing speed of the team was also tremendously good. Still, they will look more to the back, because Max Verstappen is hungry for more success. The Dutchman will not sit still in third place today.
After qualifying it looked like Daniil Kvyat would get another penalty, because Kevin Magnussen stopped in Q1. In the end he didn't get a penalty for that and is therefore allowed to start from P12. At the front Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are on P1 and P2. Behind them are Verstappen and Sergio Perez, who makes an excellent comeback after his mandatory absence at Silverstone because of coronavirus.

Ferrari disappoints

Drivers who probably want to win spots are Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc. Ferrari does not belong on P9 and P11 and therefore the Italian team has to improve in the race. Finally, Renault also has to look for better performance. At Silverstone the French team was extremely fast, but in Barcelona they suddenly seem a lot less. Daniel Ricciardo starts for Esteban Ocon on P13, while the Frenchman himself has to start from P15.
