The return to the Nürburgring yesterday made for a very interesting race. Several teams fell through the ice, but there were also some very good performances this week. Read here how the teams will be judged after the GP of the Eifel.

Mercedes: 7

Despite the victory of Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes will not look back on the past GP with complete satisfaction. Bottas seemed on his way to finish on the podium as well, but due to a problem with his engine he had to drop out. Now we need to solve these problems for the next race.

Ferrari: 6

Charles Leclerc managed to qualify his Ferrari in fourth position on Saturday, but he was unable to defend this position during the race. He finished in seventh place. For Vettel it's another weekend to quickly forget: he finished 11th and he often failed to pass slower cars. There is still a lot of work to do for the Italian team.

Red Bull: 7

For Red Bull it's a bit the same as for Mercedes. Verstappen drove a great race and once again got the most out of his car. In the very last lap he even managed to get the fastest lap. How great was the contrast with Albon. The Thai drove despondent and made mistake after mistake before he was brought in with technical problems.

McLaren: 6

Norris and Sainz were both riding thickly in the points during the race, but about half way through Lando Norris also had problems with his bike. Moments later he had to stop. Carlos Sainz drove quite invisibly to fifth place, which is a good result for him and his team.

Renault: 8

The hard work of the French team was rewarded this weekend with the first podium since 2011. Ricciardo shone from ear to ear and the rest of the team was very happy with the Australian's performance. Smetje on the weekend of the French is the failure of Ocon, who also seemed to be on his way to score good points for the constructors' title.

AlphaTauri: 7

Only Pierre Gasly managed to score points in this race. He finished in a handsome sixth place. This shows once again that he is the undisputed leader of the team. Kvyat collided with Albon after a mistake he made, causing him to fall far back. He finished last of the remaining cars.

Racing Point: 10

It really was the weekend of Racing Point. After Lance Stroll fell ill, Nico Hulkenberg had to qualify head-on and race without any training. The German drove very well during the race and went from last place on the grid to eighth place at the end. Sergio Perez was also in shape. The Mexican had a long view of a podium, but finished fourth in the end.

Alfa Romeo: 7

Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen finished tenth and twelfth respectively during the race. For the Italian this meant that he finally scored points again and drove a great race, keeping Vettel of Ferrari behind him. Kimi was less happy. Due to a braking error he finished Russell's race and got a time penalty.

Haas: 7

Romain Grosjean finished in ninth place. With this he got his first points of the season. A nice boost for the Frenchman, who is not yet assured of a seat next year. Magnussen finished thirteenth, he also had a chance to get in the points, but after a mistake he dropped back.

Williams: 5

George Russell was knocked off the track halfway the race by Kimi Raikkonen, so he had to get out. This was very unfortunate for him, because he felt there was more in it for him today, maybe even his first points. Teammate Latifi finished in an inglorious fourteenth place.
