Pierre Gasly says that the current struggles at Alpine are not enjoyable.
“It’s not really enjoyable to race like that.”

The 29-year-old, who spoke to the media following the conclusion of the race, highlighted his frustration with the result. Gasly also touched on how Alpine’s performances over the past few weeks have proven to be less competitive.
“Starting from the pit lane, stuck behind the rear wing of a car for 50 laps, and yeah, just a boring race," he stated.
“We knew from the pit lane it was always going to be tough, but at the minute, it's not really enjoyable to race like that. I'm just not competitive enough to fight. It's a bit frustrating.”
“Honestly, the last few weekends haven't been good enough. Even though we’re not competitive enough, it just feels like we're not putting things together.”

The former Red Bull Racing driver, however, concluded his statement with a hint of optimism.
“We will sit down with the team, we're all together. We'll soon be better, just from a track characteristic standpoint.”
The Singapore Grand Prix saw Gasly finish the race in 19th place and a lap down on the frontrunners after opting to start from the pit lane. The outing for Gasly and the Alpine team largely mirrored their performances throughout much of the season.

Gasly’s 2025 campaign with Alpine so far

The 2025 season has unfolded in a relatively challenging manner for Gasly and the Alpine outfit, as he has only managed points-scoring finishes in five of the 18 races held so far.
While collecting 20 points this season, the 29-year-old’s last points finish came during the Belgian Grand Prix, where he secured 10th place.
Talking about the future then, he commented: "Same as when you drive, if you have the belief you're going to make it you always get those last couple of hundreds and extra performance out of it.
"I would say that's probably the only thing we miss, because we've got all the other ingredients to actually deliver a very strong race car from next season," the Frenchman explained.
