Ludo van Denderen was active in football for many years, working for clubs such as Feyenoord and Fortuna Sittard. As a journalist, he worked in the sports editorial teams of publications like Algemeen Dagblad and Omroep Brabant. 
When Jos Verstappen made his Formula 1 debut, Ludo was watching it on TV. Since 1996, he has had a piece of the 1995 Simtek, which came from the bankruptcy of the British team, in his living room. Since the 1990s, he has been following Formula 1 closely, often attending races around the world. Other racing series also capture his interest, including WEC, DTM, IndyCar, and more.
