Red Bull Racing confirms updates for the Canadian Grand Prix

After introducing a stunning number of updates for the Miami Grand Prix, the Austrian squad of Verstappen and Isack Hadjar will bring further changes to the Canadian Grand Prix.
The team's Technical Director, Pierre Waché, explained: "Miami saw us take a clear step forward, with the upgrade package delivering encouraging gains in performance and helping address some key areas on the car. It highlighted some car weaknesses and room of improvement to extract the overall performance.
"Canada will be another good test of the package alongside some minor updates this weekend. It has been a positive boost for the Team to see the progress translating on track after a lot of hard work behind the scenes, and we expect car development to be made as we head into the European races."

Unlike Verstappen, his young teammate Hadjar had a difficult weekend in Miami, which culminated in a DNF on Sunday. The Frenchman is excited to bounce back in Canada.
He added: "Ever since Miami, I've been raring to get back into the car and go racing again. The Team delivered a much stronger package after the break and we want to continue with that progress going into Montreal. It's another Sprint weekend, so there are lots of opportunities to perform and score points."

Former pundit returns to TV role after Sky Sports exit

Danica Patrick will return to punditry for the first time since leaving Sky Sports' Formula 1 coverage after the 2025 season. "I had such a blast! The Sky team was so much fun. I saw so many amazing new race tracks and cities and got to be part of a huge boom in F1! I called after the last race in 2025 and said it was time for me to move on and I was so grateful for the opportunity and experience I was given! And now due to my deep exposure to F1, I will be glued to my TV for the season starting this weekend, like every other fan," she previously addressed her departure from the British channel.

Coulthard doubts any F1 driver would accept 'scary' Nordschleife challenge

Former McLaren and Red Bull Racing driver Coulthard has discussed Verstappen's performance at the 24h Nurburgring on the Up to Speed podcast.
He said, praising the four-time Formula 1 world champion: “We should not just look at it as, 'oh, Max loves driving so much, he's just out having fun on the weekends.' If he was doing that, he could go to any of the FIA-regulated tracks that are very similar of the current F1 tracks. But to go there, this is old school commitment and that's what sets him apart from the others. The others are technically very good racing drivers, there's no question about it. I would question whether any other driver on the F1 grid right now would accept the challenge to go and race at the Nurburgring.”

Apple TV bullish on F1 expansion: 'There is a huge opportunity'

Apple’s exclusive U.S. broadcast deal for Formula 1 began in 2026, shifting coverage from ESPN to Apple TV and giving viewers full weekend access to practice, qualifying, and races, plus onboard cameras, team radio, and dedicated feeds. Eddie Cue said early-season ratings on Apple TV were significantly higher than last year’s linear numbers, with engagement spreading across all three days. He highlighted how the championship has been attracting a significantly younger audience on Apple TV, with female viewership in particular seeing a sharp increase.
