Ralf Schumacher was heavily critical of the current generation after Charles Leclerc's pit lane incident with Lando Norris.
"I'm almost at a loss for words to describe how they don't just look to the right."

Leclerc collided with the McLaren of Norris during the second free practice session of the weekend, as he exited his garage.
Ralf Schumacher found it hard to believe that this could happen. Speaking on Sky Sports DE, he said: "The mechanic waved him out, which is why he didn't get a penalty, but the fact that Leclerc doesn't just look to the right says it all.
"It shows that the guys are now just, well, it's hard to say...
"I'm almost at a loss for words to describe how they don't just look to the right. They're so reliant on what they're told these days.
"Independent thinking obviously doesn't seem to be that important anymore. It's certainly an embarrassing accident, but it can happen," the German concluded.

Ferrari receives penalty for the incident

Leclerc himself shared that confusion led to the incident happening.
The Monegasque driver told F1 TV: "My camera was on my face so I couldn’t see to double check with my mechanic, and speaking with him, it was a bit of confusion with the two McLarens going out.
"It looked like they were going out at the same time, so he thought they would go out slower, so I didn’t have a message to stop."
On Sunday, the Monegasque driver finished fifth. He had a damning verdict after the race as well.
“Mercedes are now at the same level as McLaren and Red Bull, and then there’s us.
"It’s not easy, because you want to fight for better positions, but at the moment it just feels like we’re passengers in the car and we cannot extract much more,” he concluded.
