- Liam LawsonLawson crashed exiting Turn 7. The New Zealander ended up in the wall and damaged the VCARB-02 considerably in the process.
Over the team radio, the Racing Bulls driver commented: "Yeah, mate, I'm so sorry. I don't even know what happened, I just got the kerb."
This is the second day in a row that Lawson crashed in a free practice session and caused a red flag. Yesterday,
he made contact with the wall in the penultimate corner.
After FP2 yesterday, he told
F1 TV:
"I think [the genuine pace] is very strong. We don't know what the others are doing. We're very happy with where the car's at, but obviously we have to keep chasing it because it's very, very close. "So we'll make some more changes overnight, and fine tune it. I'll learn from obviously what happened, and we'll try to put it together."
