Pierre Gasly described the Singapore Grand Prix as “boring” after finishing the race in second-to-last place, just behind his teammate.
"We were too slow for it to be physical. Just a boring race"

"Starting from the pit lane, stuck behind the rear wing of the car for 50 laps, just a boring race," he said after the race.
Asked how physically demanding the race had been, given the always challenging conditions in Singapore, Gasly added: "It was fine, we were too slow for it to be physical"
"We knew from the pit lane it was always going to be tough, but at the minute it's not really enjoyable to race like that. I'm just not competitive enough to fight it. It's just a bit frustrating."

He then added: "Honestly, the last few weekends haven't been good enough. Even though we are not competitive enough, it just feels like we're not putting things together. We sit down with the team, we're all together. I think we'll soon be better, just from a track characteristic."
Asked how he manages to stay focused while fighting at the back, the Frenchman concluded: "You still try and you still try to put the pressure on the guy in front, still try to force them into a mistake.
"Ultimately that's what you do, but there are quite a few things we need to discuss with the team. I think ultimately we're just too slow and it makes it painful on Saturdays and on Sundays."

Alpine moves closer to decision on Gasly's teammate

In a season that has been extremely challenging so far — with Alpine sitting last in the Constructors’ Championship by a clear margin — the team is reportedly getting closer to deciding who will partner Pierre Gasly for the 2026 season.
GPblog understands that a final decision is likely to be made by mid-November. Among the names in contention to join the Frenchman next year are Paul Aron, Jack Doohan, and Franco Colapinto.
But who among them has the best chance? Find out here.
