According to a German website and despite a recent contract extension, Frédéric Vasseur's position as team principal at Ferrari could be under threat by none other than Christian Horner.
Ferrari doesn't seem to pick up the pace on track, and off it things don't look like they're going that much better. Rumours of inner turmoil, key personnel exits, and the upteenth reliability issue taking place in Singapore, the Scuderia could now be under unbearable pressure.
According to F1-Insider, Ferrari President John Elkann's recent thoughts of keeping Vasseur at the helm of the Scuderia's F1 project are wavering, and a new vision is forming in his head.
With the Frenchman's position in supposed doubt, and Horner, free to take up a role in any capacity in any team on the grid as of the spring of 2026, would be Elkann's prime candidate to replace Vasseur, the German medium suggests.

The Scuderia's worrying 2025

Finishing off last year as McLaren's closest competitors, Ferrari were widely viewed as the papaya-coloured team's number 1 threat. However, Ferrari's challenge has not materialised.
With six races along with three Sprints left to go in 2025, and Ferrari are yet to win a Grand Prix this season. To add insult to injury, the Italian's have been busy facing one blow after another in what's been a very tense campaign.

From the double DSQ in China, to Lewis Hamilton's tough emotional statements in Hungary, to a disobeyed team order in Baku, Ferrari arrived at Singapore only to fail to deliver yet again.
On Saturday both drivers agreed that the potential for a better qualifying result was indeed in the car, but for some reason it remained untapped, with both drivers placing in P6 and P7 on the grid for the Singapore Grand Prix.
On Sunday, both SF-25's were hit with brake overheating issues that derailed Hamilton's efforts to achieve a strong P5, and instead left him penalised and saw him demoted from P7 down to P8.
Vasseur saw his position called into doubt earlier in the season and at the Canadian Grand Prix he reacted passionately to the speculation in the Italian press that indicated his Ferrari tenure was at risk of being cut short.
