Max Verstappen is considering moving his GT3 team Verstappen.com Racing from Ferrari to Porsche, as GPblog reported on Wednesday. Porsche has since responded to the arrival of the four-time Formula 1 World Champion to the German top brand.
Verstappen announced last week in Singapore that he is not yet certain he will participate in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2026. "The programme of the GT3 team is unknown, as is the car we will be racing next year. All that sort of things," the Dutchman stated as the reason.
GPblog understood that Verstappen is thinking about swapping the Ferrari 296 GT3 that was used this season - also driven by the Dutchman himself during an endurance race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Switching to Porsche would make sense

A switch to a Porsche 911 GT3-R would make sense, as it is currently the fastest GT3 car. GPblog reported on Wednesday that a meeting between Verstappen and the German manufacturer may have taken place.
This website then asked Porsche regarding this, and what role Porsche might play in a potential collaboration. Said reaction has now been given.
Porsche informs GPblog that: "We cannot comment on this at this stage. But obviously it would be great to see Max Verstappen at the 24h race at the Nürburgring in a Porsche."
