Max Verstappen appears to be considering a switch from Ferrari to Porsche for his GT3 team. He would then participate in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring with the chosen car. The Dutchman hinted at the possibility while speaking to international media in Singapore, mentioning that several factors still need to be considered before making a final decision.
When asked about his plans for the team, he said: "The programme of the GT3 team, which car that we are going to race next year, stuff like that [needs to be decided]."
Those comments suggest it’s not certain that Verstappen’s team will continue with Ferrari next year.
Verstappen.com Racing's 2025 campaign with Ferrari
This season, Verstappen.com Racing has been competing with the Ferrari 296 GT3 in both DTM and GT World Challenge Europe, as well as at the Nordschleife,
where Verstappen won his first four-hour GT3 race in the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie.
There are now signs pointing towards Verstappen considering a switch to Porsche for his team in 2026. That is not only evident from his words, but it is also indicated by the fact that Verstappen recently visited Porsche in Stuttgart.
GPblog has reached out to Porsche for a response, but the German brand either could not or chose not to provide one.

Why would Porsche be a logical choice for Verstappen?
A partial or complete switch to Porsche would make sense for Verstappen.com Racing if the reigning
Formula 1 champion wants to maximise his team’s chances of fighting for the victory at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The Porsche 911 GT3-R is widely regarded as one of the top-performing GT3 cars. When Verstappen won at the Nordschleife, the Porsche cars were not present. However, whenever they do compete, they are often in a class of their own.
The 911 GT3-R was also the fastest car in this year’s qualifying at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, although it ultimately missed out on victory. A Porsche customer team also leads the LMGT3 class in the World Endurance Championship.
