Lando Norris won the Mexico City Grand Prix with the biggest margin of the season so far. The McLaren driver claimed all 25 points in Mexico City, converting pole position into his sixth victory of the 2025 season.
The Briton completed the race in just under one hour and 38 minutes, securing the most dominant victory of the season so far as he crossed the finish line 30.3 seconds ahead of Charles Leclerc in second place.
Making this victory more impressive is the fact that behind Norris, Leclerc and
Max Verstappen were also on one-stop strategies, which were not compromised.
Previously, Verstappen held the largest winning margin of the season, having won the Italian Grand Prix by 19.2 seconds over Norris in September.
There were two further victories with gaps over 10 seconds: Verstappen won by 14.6 seconds in Azerbaijan, while
Oscar Piastri won by 15.5 seconds in Bahrain. On both occasions, George Russell finished in second place.
| Grand Prix | Winner | Margin to P2 |
| Mexico City | Lando Norris | +30.3 |
| Italy | Max Verstappen | +19.2 |
| Bahrain | Oscar Piastri | +15.5 |
| Azerbaijan | Max Verstappen | +14.6 |
| China | Oscar Piastri | +9.7 |
The closest finish remains the Canadian Grand Prix, where Russell crossed the line just 0.2 seconds ahead of Verstappen under the Safety Car.
The smallest gap between the top two drivers in a race that didn’t finish under such conditions came in Hungary, where Norris finished just 0.7 seconds ahead of Piastri.

For the first time since the Bahrain Grand Prix, the British driver leads in the drivers' standings in
Formula 1.
Norris is one point ahead of his teammate Piastri and 36 ahead of Verstappen with four Grands Prix and two Sprints remaining this season.
The season continues with the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in two weeks’ time.
