George Russell has been summoned by the stewards after qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Lando Norris has been fined by the stewards, but his pole position is not in danger. Russell will have to appear before the stewards at 18:00 local time (17:00 BST), as he is being investigated for failing to follow the race director's escape road instructions. It was a session to forget for the Mercedes driver, who only qualified in P6 today.
The Briton will not be the only driver who has to report to the stewards today.
Gabriel Bortoleto will also have to appear before them, as he is being investigated for driving unnecessarily slowly during qualifying.
Carlos Sainz and
Valtteri Bottas will also have to be present at the stewards' office later today, with the Spaniard allegedly having impeded the Cadillac driver in Q1.
Norris receives a fine
The stewards handed out a fine to the defending world champion for speeding in the pit lane. The Briton will have to pay €900 after exceeding the limit by 8.5 km/h.
Antonelli and Leclerc also summoned
Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc will have to also appear in front of the stewards at 18:15 and 18:30 local time, respectively. Similarly to Bortoleto, they are investigated for driving unnecessarily slowly in Q3.
