Lewis Hamilton will have to appear before the stewards after the Singapore Grand Prix. The Briton has been summoned for the following reason:
Alleged breach of Article 33.3 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations – leaving the track without a justifiable reason at 21:41.
The
Ferrari driver will have to present his version of events at 10:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. UK time).
The seven-time world champion experienced a Singapore Grand Prix full of highs and lows. After a subdued first half of the race, the Briton switched to an aggressive strategy in the closing stages, fitting soft tyres for the final stint in a bid to make up ground and overtake at least one of the two Mercedes cars to break back into the top five — a goal he achieved, at least briefly.

With much fresher tyres than both his teammate and Kimi Antonelli, Hamilton managed to get past them and climb into the top five, only to be hampered by brake issues in the final laps.
Forced to slow down significantly just to see the chequered flag, he eventually crossed the line in seventh place — only a few tenths ahead of Fernando Alonso.
UPDATE: Hamilton has been handed a five-second penalty, with Alonso therefore inheriting seventh place from him
