Isack Hadjar discussed whether having a guaranteed contract for 2026 takes some of the pressure off compared to other drivers within the Red Bull family.
“It’s a good position to be in, but at the same time my whole career I’ve been used to having to chase until the very final race”
- Isack Hadjar
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the Singapore weekend, the Frenchman responded: “It’s a good position to be in, but at the same time my whole career I’ve been used to having to chase until the very final race — every championship I’ve been in — to try and prove and go up the ranks.
Hadjar believes that having a guaranteed seat for next year certainly helps ease some of the pressure, but says he would still stay fully focused on giving his best even if he were facing greater pressure in the final part of the season.
He continued: “It’s a new place to be, but it definitely takes out a bit of pressure. If anything, I always enjoy the pressure. I feel like it’s when I’m delivering at my best level. Let’s see how I handle the last few races, but I’m always going to push very hard and take risks.”

Will 2026 be the year Hadjar gets his Red Bull break?

With Yuki Tsunoda’s seat still uncertain ahead of next season, Hadjar is naturally among the contenders within Red Bull’s extensive talent pool. When asked about the situation, Helmut Marko suggested that 2026 would be “a good time for a move.”
However, although Marko told the media that Hadjar already has a seat secured for 2026, GPblog understands that the Austrian outfit has yet to finalise whether Arvid Lindblad would be promoted.
