The Formula 1 championship standings have been updated following the Spanish Grand Prix, with Kimi Antonelli taking victory around the Madring.
Championship leader Antonelli, F1’s youngest ever, has seen his points gap extended after a controlled victory from P2 on the starting grid, while his Mercedes teammate George Russell crossed the line in P5.
Lewis Hamilton, the highest-placed non-Mercedes driver in the championship battle this season, has suffered a massive blow to his title hopes, as brake issues brought his race to an end after just seven laps of action.
Lando Norris, coming into the weekend with an outside chance of retaining his 2025 Drivers' title - 96 points behind Antonelli prior to the Spanish GP - started on Pole in the Spanish capital, but a slow stop from McLaren just after a Lap 14 VSC had ended, made sure of a P3 finish behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
