Haas F1 still has not finalised its line-up for 2023. Kevin Magnussen will at least hold a spot, but in early October it is still unclear which driver will join the Dane as a teammate. Several names pass in review and we would like to hear from you who is the most suitable candidate.

Among the favourites are Mick Schumacher and Nico Hülkenberg. The former is in his second season in US service, but he cannot yet convince completely. The German scored ten points less than Magnussen in seventeen Grands Prix and also completely wrecked his Haas F1 car twice: in Jeddah and Monaco.

Will Haas F1 opt for a routine driver?

Steiner is not yet convinced by Schumacher and so the experienced Hülkenberg has also entered the picture. Schumacher's compatriot drove his last full Formula 1 season in 2019, but as a 'corona replacement', the 34-year-old driver made a more than solid impression. Would the ever-good-humoured driver from Emmerik be the best option?

Furthermore, we also have Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian was not allowed to serve out his contract at McLaren and despite a good track record, options are limited for him. Alpine seems to be going for Pierre Gasly and Williams also seems to have no interest in Ricciardo. Will Williams offer a solution or would Ricciardo be better off going for a sabbatical?

Giovinazzi and Shwartzman

Finally, we have two drivers from the Ferrari stable who have been mentioned in recent times. Antonio Giovinazzi has plenty of F1 experience and would love nothing more than to return to the king class of motorsport. The other contender is Robert Shwartzman. The Israeli Russian has already done test miles for Ferrari, but seems like a long shot.

If you were in the shoes of team boss Guenther Steiner, who would you seat next to Magnussen? Let us know in the poll and join the discussion.
