The opening lap in Barcelona has just been completed, with pole-sitter George Russell managing to hold onto the lead into Turn 1 despite pressure from Lewis Hamilton, who started alongside him on the front row.
The Briton got off the line well despite the seven-time world champion's aggressive start on the soft tyres, while Kimi Antonelli held onto third place. Lando Norris remained fourth, with Max Verstappen rounding out the top five.
Charles Leclerc also made a strong start, gaining three positions on the opening lap and already running just behind the top five. It was a poor start for Isack Hadjar, who dropped out of the top 10 off the line and now finds himself down in 13th place, while the two Aston Martins continue to occupy the final two positions.
