Toyota Racing can once again celebrate victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. For the first time since 2022, the Japanese manufacturer has won the famous French endurance race with the #7 car.
Two former Formula 1 drivers, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries, and the experienced endurance driver Mike Conway, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year in the #7 Toyota Racing car. It is their first victory since Toyota's five-year winning streak from 2018 to 2022.
A one-two finish in the end did not materialise for the Japanese brand. The #20 BMW M Team WRT car finished second, with Robin Frijns, René Rast and Sheldon van der Linde at the wheel. The #8 Toyota of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa completed the podium.
Ferrari had a day to forget in France. After the Italian manufacturer's car had won the famous race twice with its factory team and once with AF Corse over the past three years, they missed out on the podium entirely this time. The #51 factory Ferrari finished fifth, while the #50 car had to retire from the race. The yellow #83 AF Corse crossed the finish line in seventh place.
Making its 24 Hours of Le Mans Hypercar debut, the Genesis Magma Racing team finished the race in 13th position. Max Verstappen's teammate Daniel Juncadella was among the drivers competing for the Hyundai Group brand.

Two further winners were crowned in the LMP2 and LMGT3 categories as well. The #43 Inter Europol Competition team won the former with Tom Dillmann, Jakub Smiechowski and Nick Yelloly driving for the Polish outfit. The #33 TF Sport Chevrolet Corvette took victory in LMGT3 with Nicky Catsburg, Jonny Edgar and Ben Keating.
