Ricciardo on boring Abu Dhabi: "Maybe we could play around with the layouts"

Daniel Ricciardo expresses his dissatisfaction with the layout in Abu Dhabi. The Yas Marina Circuit has been offering fairly boring races year after year, according to the Australian. According to Ricciardo this was no different in 2020.

"It is a shame because it is such a great venue, and I certainly do not want to talk the place down because I want to keep coming back here because it is amazing", Ricciardo opens at MotorsportWeek.com.

After a successful Sakhir Grand Prix, which was held on a short circuit in Bahrain, Ricciardo believes that this may also be the solution for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. "But maybe we could play around with the layouts, I know there is a few alternatives around here", Ricciardo continues.

The Renault driver remains honest and knows that the track often produces boring races: "Because unfortunately on Sunday it is tricky, it is sometimes a bit grim from an entertainment point of view", concludes Ricciardo.
