The qualifying for the
Spanish Grand Prix was mainly a battle between
Charles Leclerc and
Max Verstappen, but the qualifying duels between teammates are also beginning to take serious shape. While some drivers are running ahead of their teammate, others are leveling the score.
Verstappen is making more distance from
Sergio Perez and the same goes for Leclerc at
Carlos Sainz. At Mercedes, the score is just tied by
George Russell, who qualified himself ahead of
Lewis Hamilton.
Meanwhile,
Daniel Ricciardo scores for the first time at the expense of
Lando Norris, who did not make it to Q3 because his lap time was removed.
Valtteri Bottas, along with Leclerc, is the only one left on a perfect score.
