Charles Leclerc topped FP2 ahead of the Mexico City Grand Prix, following his dominant display in FP1 earlier in the day.
The Ferrari driver, who also topped the timesheets in FP1 and FP2 last week in Austin, beat Lando Norris and George Russell by just over a tenth of a second. Leclerc however could have gone even quicker after going wide on his quickest lap and locking up into Turn 1 on another lap.
His teammate Lewis Hamilton had a session to forget as he was asked to stop on track by his Ferrari team after he reported a loss of power coming out of Turn 13.
There was also a bizarre moment involving Verstappen and Lawson which led to a red flag. Verstappen sent his Red Bull down the inside of Lawson into Turn 12 and almost made contact. They then decided to go side by side through the next sequence of turns and made contact at Turn 14, with debris left on the track that needed to be cleaned up.
Both Verstappen and Lawson will have to visit the stewards to explain their case after the unnecessary contact between the pair.

Kimi Antonelli, on a weekend where he could win his first title, finished FP2 in fourth just ahead of the two Red Bulls of Verstappen and Hadjar. Arvid Lindblad, Pierre Gasly, Liam Lawson and Oscar Piastri rounded out the top 10.
