Ferrari are currently the only one of the big four F1 teams yet to win a race in 2025. Although their best chance to do so slipped through their fingers in Hungary, two critical chances are outlined for them not to come away with a big zero this season. In the F1 Nation podcast, former F1 driver and current F1 TV analyst
Jolyon Palmer disclosed that for the most part of the Hungarian Grand Prix he believed that would be their race win of the 2025 season.
However, the Brit then outlined what he believes were ride height complications as the reasons for the loss of pace experienced by the Monegasque driver in the late stages of the race which ruled him out of contention for the win.
"Well, I said it a few races ago, didn't I? I got carried away after Canada or something and I said, they will win a race. I'm standing by it. There'll be good tracks for them.
Regarding Hungary, Palmer was rather hopeful. "You know what, at least they had performance.
Charles Leclerc after his pole position in Hungary
"It looks very likely that they had to sort of limp their car home having gone a bit too aggressive on ride height in the race.
"But at least I think they showed sort of aggressive search for performance.
"And they did get the pole position on a circuit that really wasn't necessarily one of their favoured ones.
"I don't think Zandvoort will necessarily be there either for Ferrari," added Palmer, almost ruling out a Dutch GP win for the Scarlet team.
Ferrari's chances revealed
Nevertheless, Palmer does see two tracks coming up where Ferrari might be able to provide
Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc with the potential enough to defeat McLaren.
"I'm looking to Monza and to Singapore as probably better chances for them with low-speed corners and better chances again.
