Fernando Alonso has reacted to Isack Hadjar's comments after the Frenchman called him "grumpy" after the Singapore Grand Prix. "I understand that this is Singapore, and he fights hard and he did his best, but he lost out."

Marina Bay Street Circuit, with Alonso calling Hadjar the 'hero of the race' over the team radio after the Racing Bulls driver defended strongly due to an engine issue.
"Some movement at 300 kph was a little hit above the line in Singapore. But everyone races how they want," Alonso stated, reacting to Hadjar's comments.

"There was no contact, nothing like that, so everything is fine. They have a very fast car; they don't have many points, so it's not a problem.
"I think he had a little bit of an engine problem, from what I understood. On the straights, he was slow. Sometimes in battles, you need to know when it's better to fight, when it's not, because probably the final result of the race could be worse for both, for sure, but for him in particular.
"I think some unnecessary risk, but I understand that this is Singapore, and he fights hard and he did his best, but he lost out."
Another Racing Bulls issue for Alonso
It is not the first time that Alonso has had some issues with the drivers at Racing Bulls after his battle with Hadjar, which started an eventful Singapore Grand Prix for the Spaniard.
At the 2024 United States Grand Prix, the two-time world champion had some issues with Liam Lawson, with some frustration expressed by Alonso while the pair battled in the sprint race.
