Max Verstappen was the leader for seven hours in the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans, but it ended in disappointment when he lost control of the car and Team Redline had to leave the competition.
Everyone was impressed with the world champion's performance, as he took the lead immediately after the start. Verstappen did not start the race from pole position, but there was only a difference of two thousandths of a second in qualifying. After seven hours of racing he had built up a margin of one minute, but lost control of Team Redline's LMP car and ended up in the crash barrier.
"Endurance racing can be cruel sometimes.... Nevertheless, an incredible effort by everyone involved, the pace our #123 had out there was nothing short of spectacular. We'll be back, we'll go again," Team Redline said on Twitter after the crash.

Teammates

The Red Bull Racing driver was driving the Team Redline car number 123. His teammates were Felix Rosenqvist, Atze Kerkhof and Maximilian Benecke. The second team consists of Oliver Rowland, Felipe Drugovich, Jeffrey Rietveld and Michal Smidl. They are currently driving in the lead.
