Trackhouse Racing's owner Justin Marks has weighed in on Libety Media's plans to expand MotoGP's popularity in the USA and believes he has seen a 'growth plan' that is soon to be implemented.
Following their success in the world of Formula 1, the American media company moved to acquire a majority share in MotoGP last year, and the effects of the purchase have already had a huge impact on the sport.
In addition to the new eco-regulations which are set to take effect in 2027, Liberty also made the bold and extremely unpopular decision to
remove the legendary Phillip Island circuit from the calendar - instead replacing it with an Adelaide street venue which has never hosted bike racing before.
We'll start to see greater involvement from them [Liberty Media] as they put their growth plan into action.

Netflix's Drive To Survive series gained global attention during COVID.
In an interview with Motorsport.com, Trackhouse boss Justin Marks remained optimistic about the changes, and believes that there is certainly potential in the US market:
"I consider myself an aggressive person when I see opportunities. I believe they should be pursued without failure. If you identify an opportunity to bring MotoGP to a new audience or a new region, you have to act decisively and give it a shot."
"I think expansion will accelerate. Liberty is made up of smart people and has invested heavily in the championship for a reason. They've spent the last year observing, learning and defining a strategy. Over the next twelves to sixteen months, we'll start to see greater involvement from them as they put their growth plan into action."
Trackhouse, which is itself an American-based team, predominatly compete in NASCAR, though they have recently achieved great success in MotoGP as Aprilia's satellite team.
This follows on from reports that Liberty is openly trying to make the championship 'less European', with the
removal of another iconic Spanish circuit also being rumoured.
