Fabio Quartararo took to social media to share some his training during the current MotoGP season break in which he took to a dirt bike track alongside Red Bull KTM's Lucas Coenen. The world of MotoGP has been put on hold temporarily due to the
postponement of the Qatar Grand Prix, which will now be held in November just before Portugal and Valencia.
In the meantime, the riders are spending the time recovering from a hectic few opening rounds of the year, which have seen Aprilia emerge as the dominant force on the MotoGP grid.
At the tail end, Yamaha are still struggling, with even their talented former World Champion, Fabio Quartararo, unable to make much of an impression. However, it seems that the Frenchman is keeping his skills sharp ahead of Jerez by training alongside Motorcross sensation Lucas Coenen.
Coenen, just 19 years of age, is currently leading the MXGP standings ahead of Holland's legendary Jeffrey Herlings and reigning world champion Romain Febvre.
His twin brother, Sacha, also competes in the official FIM Motorcross World Championships in the MX2 class, and much like his brother, he is also proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the sport.
This follows on from another unlikely link up between Valentino Rossi, Marco Bezzecchi and Formula 1's Kimi Antonelli, who were
seen hanging out at Rossi's Italian "Motor Ranch" earlier this month.
Ruthless Quartararo accused of planning 'sabotage' against Yamaha in Jerez
In another shocking development, Quartararo's relationship with Yamaha has evidently soured as the Frenchman prepares to depart for Honda in 2027. Some of his comments have even been interpreted as indicating he plans to purposefully underperform in Jerez in order to make a point to his mechanics and engineers.
