The MotoGP is full of rumours regarding potential lineups for the 2027 season, and the grid is shaping up to be almost unrecognisable from its current state.
While many riders are out of contract at the end of the year and plenty of young talent is coming through from
Moto2, very few deals have been officially confirmed for next year.
This is in part due to the finalization of
a new Concorde Agreement between teams and MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group. However, that hasn't stopped the rumour mill from turning, with many credible reports and rider comments hinting at their agreed switches. Here is how the MotoGP grid is shaping up for 2027:

| Francesco Bagnaia | Pedro Acosta |
It has been expected for quite a while now that Pedro Acosta was in
Ducati's plans for the 2027 onwards, but
Marc Marquez's future is slightly less certain. The reigning world champion has not looked his best at the start of 2026, and has
hinted at his nearing retirement several times already this season.
Nonetheless, Ducati are keen to extend his deal with the team and ensure that he partners with Acosta for two more years. With two-time champion
Francesco Bagnaia set to depart, the team could potentially field one of the strongest rider lineups we have seen for many years.

| Jorge Martin | Francesco Bagnaia |
Aprilia's current rider lineup is arguably one of the strongest on the grid.
Marco Bezzecchi appears to be just entering his prime, and the Italian manufacturers have rewarded him with
a multi-year extension as a result.
On the other side of the garage, things don't look quite so simple. 2024 World Champion
Jorge Martin doesn't appear to have any options to renew with the team, and seems as though he will be replaced with Bagnaia for 2027 onwards - likely forcing one of the most talented riders on the grid into an inferior team.
Honda

| Joan Mir | Fabio Quartararo |
| Luca Marini | David Alonso |
Honda have been at the a center of a huge number of rumours at the start of 2026, but the one which seems as good as confirmed now is the switch of Fabio Quartararo from Yamaha. The fact that Quartararo has recently
withdrawn from Yamaha's development program is proof that he is not committed to a future there, and several reports have indicated that his chosen destination is Honda.
It also seems that Honda are keeping an eye on Moto2 talent David Alonso, who has already shown extraordinary potential and resilience at the start of the year. As for current riders Joan Mir and Luca Marini, it's hard to imagine either of them keeping a factory seat in 2027, though if either of them will, Marini is
the much safer bet.

| Pedro Acosta | Alex Marquez |
| Brad Binder | Collin Veijer |
Another team which appears set for a dramatic overhaul is Austrian-based KTM. Despite their increased performance this year compared to last, it seems inevitable that Pedro Acosta will leave for a race-winning bike, and that doesn't come as a huge surprise.
Alex Marquez seems like a natural replacement as he has proven himself in recent seasons to be worthy of a factory seat.
As for Brad Binder, recent results haven't done much to convince anyone that he is a top rider to lead KTM forwards, so rumours are beginning to pick up that he too might be replaced by a younger talent, with Collin Veijer being a likely candidate if he performs will in Moto2 this year.

| Fabio Quartararo | Jorge Martin |
| Alex Rins | Fabio Di Giannantonio |
| Luca Marini |
While things might be looking bad for Yamaha in terms of their current bike performance, and losing their star rider and former world champion Quartararo
will certainly be a painful blow, they do still have a lot of options and the name to attract many top riders to their factory team.
With Martin likely to be pushed out of Aprilia for an all-Italian lineup, Quartararo's seat at Yamaha will be up for grabs and it is reported that
Martin has already signed a lucrative deal with the team. As for the second seat, it seems that Alex Rins will have to make way for either Di Giannantonio, unless he extends with VR46, or Luca Marini if he finds himself out of a seat after Honda's reshuffle.

| Fabio Di Giannantonio | Fermin Aldeguer |
| Franco Morbidelli | Celestino Vietti |
At the start of the year it wasn't even clear whether or not VR46 would continue in MotoGP, but team boss Uccio Salucci has confirmed that the team are looking to
renew their deal with Ducati. As part of the deal, it seems they also want to bring Fermin Aldeguer over from Gresini, with Morbidelli most likely to make way.
Di Giannantonio has been very impressive so far this year, and if he doesn't extend with VR46 then a Yamaha factory seat also seems like a potential option for him. Meanwhile, if Celestino Vietti performs well in Moto2 then there is every chance he could land himself a ride at the Italian-based team.

| Maverick Vinales | Brad Binder |
| Enea Bastianini | Dani Holgado |
Tech3 is currently contracted as a KTM satellite team, but the rumours indicate that they might be looking join either Ducati or Honda in 2027 depending on the fate of Gresini and Trackhouse. While Enea Bastianini has had a handful of decent performances, Maverick Vinales has struggled to get to grips with the team and might have to make way for Brad Binder if the team stays with KTM.
Additionally, it has been suggested that Dani Holgado could potentially join the team, particularly if they switch to Honda as their primary parts supplier.

| Alex Marquez | Enea Bastianini |
| Fermin Aldeguer | Dani Holgado |
Gresini are another team with an uncertain future in the MotoGP paddock. It seems that they are set to depart Ducati and could potentially become Aprilia's satellite team if Trackhouse move.
As for their riders, with Aldeguer already linked with VR46 and Alex Marquez seemingly ready to join KTM, their best option appears to be
signing their former race winner Bastianini back from Tech3. Holgado could also potentially find himself at Gresini depending on other moves in the rider market.
Honda LCR

| Johann Zarco | Joan Mir |
| Diogo Moreira | |
Honda's LCR team is already looking solid enough, and if any team is to stay on the grid unchanged for 2027 it will be them. Brazil's Diogo Moreira is already showing great potential and the abilities of a top class rider, while it is believed that
the more experienced Zarco has signed an extension for 2027 too.
Depending on how the rest of the grid shapes up, Joan Mir could be looking at a push to remain in the paddock with the satellite team, but whether or not they will take him over their current two riders is yet to be seen.
Trackhouse
| Current Riders (2026) | Rumoured Riders (2027) |
| Ai Ogura | Joan Mir |
| Raul Fernandez | Manuel Gonzales |
Aprilia's satellite team, Trackhouse Racing, arguably has one of the strongest young rider lineups on the grid, so there's really not much incentive to change their riders unless they are forced to. Raul Fernandez has been in good form the last couple of seasons, while Ai Ogura is also starting to showcase his potential.
However, the team's future remains uncertain and they could potentially switch to a different factory supplier for 2027. This could dramatically affect their rider lineup, with Joan Mir and Manuel Gonzales reportedly on the team's radar if need be.

| Jack Miller | Izan Guevara |
| Toprak Razgatlioglu | |
Pramac Yamaha certainly took a gamble by signing the ambitious Turkish WSBK champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, but it is one that appears to be paying off as he
progressively improves with every Grand Prix. It's hard to imagine Toprak won't stay at the team for next year, unless he is promoted to the Yamaha factory team.
As for Jack Miller, his experience and popularity certainly have their benefits for the team, and on occasion he has pulled out some solid results. However, the highly impressive and consistent performances from Izan Guevara in Moto2 make him a potential candidate to replace Miller.
