Formula 1 has launched an initiative to help fill the gap created by the forced April break following the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GP's. Events in the Middle East have had a significant impact on the Formula 1 calendar, with the championship originally set to head to Sakhir and then Jeddah in recent weeks, only to now find itself facing a month-long gap to fill.
Formula 1 showcase greatest races of the last 20 years
To address that, fans may have noticed that from midnight today, Formula 1’s official YouTube channel has kicked off a 24-hour marathon, broadcasting 12 of the most iconic Grands Prix from the past 20 years.
Among them are the Australian Grand Prix 2025, Chinese Grand Prix 2006, Japanese Grand Prix 2005, Singapore Grand Prix 2023, Monaco Grand Prix 2018, San Marino Grand Prix 2005, Italian Grand Prix 2019, British Grand Prix 2008, German Grand Prix 2019, Sakhir Grand Prix 2020, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2010 and Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024.

He made it clear the situation is far from critical, stressing that only minor adjustments are needed rather than a complete reset. At the same time, he acknowledged there are areas to address on both the drivability and safety side, pointing out that improvements are necessary without portraying the current rules as fundamentally flawed.
Tombazis also highlighted that fan response to the racing has largely been positive, despite specific incidents exposing issues that must be resolved, while several drivers have raised concerns over aspects that could be refined.
