Seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton says that fame and success "is not all that it's cracked up to be".
The 41-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the pinnacle of motorsport has ever seen, sitting alongside Michael Schumacher with seven world titles.

Experiences across extensive career have 'shaped' Hamilton

“Having success is not all that it's cracked up to be. It can be lonely at the top, especially when you're the first,” Hamilton told Formula1.com.
“It's nothing without family and without your team and without people that you rally with. If you can't share it and be in the moment, then it's kind of all for nothing.
“I would say the [moments] that have shaped me the most have been environmental. Beatings, fights, bullying, name-calling, all those sorts of things. People telling me to go back to my country - all those are sorts of things that I have just put in my pocket to fill me.
“Those are the things that have shaped me into who I am today. It's an accumulation of a lot of those paper cuts or wounds.”

Hamilton and Kim Kardashian with another public appearance

While Formula 1 is on a five-week hiatus following the cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, Lewis Hamilton has been enjoying his time away from the track.
Most recently, he was spotted in public once again with Kim Kardashian, as the pair attended the world-famous Coachella music festival in the United States.
The rumoured couple have been spotted multiple times since the beginning of the year, but their relationship has yet to be confirmed. During pre-season testing, GPblog asked the British driver about the rumours. "I don’t comment on those sorts of things, private life," he said.
