F1 LIVE | Verstappen wins in GT3, when does the Singapore GP start?

Max Verstappen stormed to victory at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Formula 1 champion, who drove the Ferrari 296 GT3 car of Verstappen.com Racing run by Emil Frey Racing, stormed to victory by over 20 seconds alongside Chris Lulham.

Verstappen’s win came off the back of his impressive victory in Formula 1 at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Red Bull Racing driver also etched his name into the record books, becoming the first driver alongside his teammate to record success on their maiden outing at the German circuit.

After the race, the podium celebrations were not so straightforward for the Dutchman, as Verstappen struggled to open the champagne. Watch the video of the four-time world champion here!

There was more the Verstappen family could celebrate a day ago.

Jos Verstappen, Max's father, clinched the Belgian Rally Championship title today. Driving for Verstappen.com Racing in a Skoda, the former F1 driver finished in third place today at the East Belgian Rally, confirming his title with a race to go.

Laurent Mekies expressed his delight with Yuki Tsunoda following his result at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

The Red Bull Racing team principal was pleased with the Japanese driver’s pace at the Baku City Circuit, with the Frenchman noting it was "his best race with us this year."

Tsunoda completed an incident-free weekend and crossed the finish line in sixth place.

"I think he was strong yesterday in qualifying. He was very strong in the race. The clever guys will get the number right, but he was sometimes two, sometimes three, sometimes four-tenths away from Max, and Max was pulling away from everyone with that pace, so it was a very, very serious pace," Mekies explained.
