Following the announcement of Honda's departure from Formula 1, there was immediate speculation about the future of Red Bull Racing and some of its key employees. Of course these included Max Verstappen, but top designer Adrian Newey is also in the spotlight.
Team boss Christian Horner was able to report on Servus TV that he is convinced that Verstappen stays with the team and that there is no clause related to the power source in his contract. When asked about Newey's future, he reacted with similar words.

Aston Martin is interested

"He has been with us for 14 years now, he is happy in the team and enjoys working in this environment. Adrian has moved a bit into the background in recent years, but he is still motivated. He will definitely stay with the team in the coming year".
Newey would be in the spotlight with Lawrence Stroll and his current connection to Aston Martin and his good working relationship with Sebastian Vettel wouldn't make a move to that team any stranger. Helmut Marko had previously strongly denied that Newey would be leaving soon.
