FP3 in Monaco has just come to an end, marking the final practice session before this afternoon's all-important fight for pole position. Here's everything that happened in the last hour of running ahead of a crucial qualifying session.
The opening third of the session once again belonged to Ferrari, with Charles Leclerc setting a 1:13.748 to move to the top of the timesheets ahead of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen, meanwhile, began the session down in sixth place as the teams worked through their early programmes.
Shortly after, championship leader Kimi Antonelli stole the spotlight, setting a 1:13.374 and putting four tenths between himself and Leclerc, marking his first real statement of the weekend after failing to feature prominently at the front during the opening two sessions. His teammate was quick to respond, although he remained a tenth adrift of the Italian, securing a Mercedes one-two after 20 minutes of running.
The local hero did not surrender the top spot for long, moving back ahead of Antonelli by just 19 thousandths of a second. What was particularly impressive, however, was that the Monegasque set his fastest lap after already completing 15 laps on the tyres. Antonelli then responded once again, lowering the benchmark to a 1:13.137, albeit with a considerable tyre-age difference between the two drivers.

On fresh tyres, Antonelli lowered the benchmark once again with an impressive 1:12.720. Leclerc, meanwhile, was two tenths up through the second sector before running into traffic in the final sector, forcing him to abort the lap.
With 15 minutes remaining, Oliver Bearman crashed heavily into the barriers at Massenet in an incident remarkably similar to Fernando Alonso's accident in a Ferrari at the same corner back in 2010. The session was red-flagged to allow marshals to recover the car and clear debris from the track.
With only two minutes of running remaining after the session had been halted for several minutes, no driver was able to improve their time. Antonelli therefore held on to the benchmark he had set earlier in the session to finish FP3 at the top of the timesheets. Below are the full results.
