Jacques Villeneuve remarked that McLaren's Lando Norris "Drove like a champion" at the Mexican Grand Prix, which saw the British driver re-claim the lead in the drivers' championship.
Lando drove like a world champion or someone who wants to win a world championship.

Norris charged to pole position for the Mexican Grand Prix on Saturday, and managed to successfully defend his position at the first corner, despite Charles Leclerc cutting across Turn 2 after losing control of his Ferrari to take the lead, before handing it back to Norris.
The Briton then converted pole position into race victory, dominating the Mexican Grand Prix proceedings after building a steady lead over Leclerc, who was hunted down by Verstappen towards the end of the race.
Villeneuve stated: "Lando's on a roll, he should be able to carry this on. Piastri lost the lead of the championship, Max is a few points closer and Brazil next is a race Max loves."
"It's not the right time to have low form for Oscar. The drivers are tired, the season is long. When you have an issue like this earlier in the season, you are full of energy, you recover, you have the summer break. Now you don't."
This result ensured that Norris surged to the top of the championship standings after another disappointing weekend for team-mate Oscar Piastri, who admitted that he had to drive the McLaren "very differently."
Whilst Piastri finished in fifth behind an ecstatic Oliver Bearman, Norris' other title rival, Max Verstappen, would come home to finish in third behind Charles Leclerc. Therefore, the Dutchman has closed the lead in the championship again, from 40 points down to 36 points, despite Norris now taking charge of the championship.
Just a single point currently separates Norris and Piastri, with four Grands Prix remaining and two sprint races.
However, since the summer break, Piastri has claimed just two podiums, at the Dutch and Italian Grands Prix respectively. Meanwhile, Norris has managed to claim four podiums and seems to be on strong form.
