Max Verstappen has warned Red Bull that winning the drivers' championship this year is off the table if they don't start dominating.
"You need to dominate. We're not doing that, or at least we're not doing that this weekend."
- Max Verstappen
Verstappen has been very impressive over the past three rounds, since Red Bull introduced a floor update at the Italian Grand Prix.
This allowed the reigning world champion to win in Italy and Azerbaijan before taking second place last time out at the Singapore Grand Prix.
He sits 63 points behind the championship leader Oscar Piastri with six rounds to go but feels Red Bull need to start dominating.
He said in Singapore to Sky F1: "For that [winning the title] you need to win. You need to dominate. We're not doing that, or at least we're not doing that this weekend.
"So, we're not catching up enough. For that you had to win today, and we didn't. That's how it is. We already lost way too many points in the beginning of the season."

Verstappen did cross the finish line in Singapore ahead of both McLarens as George Russell took victory.
This closed the gap to Piastri by six points after the championship leader finished fourth at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Verstappen added that second place is a decent result, but a lot of ground was lost earlier in the year.
He said: "That's quite clear, but we just try to see it race by race. We tried to do the best we can, this track is still not our favourite, I think also for the car, but nevertheless, second, I think, is still a great result."

Laurent Mekies was pleased with fighting for victory in Singapore

Singapore has been a difficult track for Red Bull in recent years. It is also the only track on this year's calendar that Verstappen hasn't won at.
The bumpy, twisty layout can cause different issues than other tracks, but Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies was pleased with Verstappen's drive to second place.
