Verstappen about the race: 'Hopefully we can have some fun'

Max Verstappen is very happy with his first pole of the year, but he also knows it is not going to be an easy race. Behind him are Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen responded to the questions of the journalist of the YouTube channel of Formula1.com. She asked how good it felt to finally take pole position. "Yes, it was a very good lap. It's nice to be on pole, it was a good day yesterday. Now we're just going to try to be as good as we can in the race."

Verstappen says he is very happy with the past year. "It's been a really good year in terms of my performance. There was definitely an improvement compared to last year. That's what you want as a driver. We just have to keep working on that in the coming period," said the 23-year-old Dutchman.
