Valtteri Bottas will take to the track at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, driving the 1985 Ferrari 156/85.
The Ferrari 156/85 is the car that carried Michele Alboreto into a season-long title battle with Alain Prost, one that saw the Italian ultimately finish runner-up in the championship.
Across the 1985 campaign, Alboreto claimed one win — at the Canadian Grand Prix — alongside eight podiums and a total of 69 points, staying firmly in the title hunt until late in the year before persistent turbo-engine reliability issues brought his challenge to an end.
Adelaide also hosted the showdown of the 1985 season, with the Australian city remaining on the Formula 1 calendar until 1996, the year Albert Park made its debut — a venue that remains one of the sport’s calendar mainstays to this day.

The Adelaide Festival will take place in the build-up to the opening race of the 2026 Formula 1 season, where Bottas is set to return to the grid with Cadillac after sitting out last year.
The Finn will therefore be actively involved between 28 February and 1 March, shortly after the conclusion of pre-season testing, before flying to Melbourne for the season opener at the iconic Albert Park Circuit.
Bottas is scheduled to be on track between 28 February and 1 March, just days after the end of pre-season testing, before making his way to Melbourne for the opening round of the 2026 Formula 1 season at the historic Albert Park Circuit.
The highlight will come on Sunday 1 March, when the Finn will complete a demonstration run at 1:45pm, driving the #27 Ferrari chassis once raced by Alboreto. Earlier in the day, Bottas will also sample a V8 big-block Holden HQ Monaro.

Cadillac confirms signing new driver for its debut Formula 1 season

Just a few days ago, the American giant confirmed the signing of a familiar face for Bottas — Zhou Guanyu.
The Chinese driver, who raced alongside the Finn at Sauber for three seasons between 2022 and 2024, will serve as reserve driver next year after holding the same role at Ferrari in 2025.
