Alpine's Pierre Gasly and Racing Bulls' Arvid Lindblad have exchanged something of a war of words after both being involved in an exciting midfield battle at the Dutch GP. It was the Frenchman out on top at Zandvoort, securing the final points position ahead of the Racing Bulls duo. After a thrilling battle in the midfield for the final points position, which involved Lindblad, Gasly, Nico Hulkenberg, and Yuki Tsunoda, and saw stellar overtakes particularly from Hulkenberg and Tsunoda on Alpine's Gasly, the Frenchman has vowied to remember how Racing Bulls "played the team game" and "ruined our race," despite his eventual finish ahead of Red Bull's sister team.
When asked on the tyre degradation during the race, Gasly instead pointedly chose to focus on his former team's strategy in Zandvoort. "No, I mean V-Carb ruined our race, middle part of the race and played a team game for the championship and did it well," Gasly said.
"It just made me lose a position to Nico and Tsunoda and I don't know how many seconds of race time. So, congrats to them and I can't wait to race them.
"It's just annoying, but it's Zandvoort. Can't really overtake and this is going to change in the coming tracks. And the good thing is I have a good memory. So, yeah. I'm gonna make sure we smile at the end of the year."

Lindblad, who was beaten by his teammate for the weekend Tsunoda -
filling in for Liam Lawson who took Isack Hadjar's Red Bull seat for the Dutch GP weekend - was not impressed by the Frenchman's comments.
The Racing Bulls rookie, who had received a Drive Through penalty for an earlier yellow flag infringement following Max Verstappen's heartbreaking Lap 1 crash, responded: "I don't know. It's a nice story.
"In the end, I did. Yeah, I played the team game. If he has a good memory, then fine. I mean, in the end, we all fight as hard as we can every weekend. So, yeah, I tried to help the team where I could. The reality was my race, I wasn't really in it anymore. So, yeah, did what I could to help the team."
