Tost frustrated after Hungary: "That just has to work"

Pierre Gasly had a miserable weekend in Hungary for AlphaTauri and there was nothing he could do about it. The Frenchman started the Friday with problems on the Honda engine and ended the race with a smoking car in the pitlane.
Although at first it looked like it, the problem wasn't caused by the power source, but by the gearbox. AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost is faced with a mystery how this could have happened. At ServusTV he explains how carefully they build their gearbox and that this should never go wrong.

No points is never good enough for AlphaTauri

"We've never had that before. I hope we can find the cause. It must be something mechanical, because there's nothing wrong with the design of the transmission. We've covered thousands of miles on the test bench, so I hope it doesn't happen again."
"It was very frustrating. You don't want to see a smoking car like that and above all the gearbox just has to work. Something must have gone wrong with the bodywork or there was a filter clogged up. Pierre might have been able to finish in the top ten, but the reality is that we now came twelfth and fell out with the other car, that's not good enough".
