Andrea Stella has praised the "high standards" that Lando Norris drove with throughout the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, culminating in his second race win of the season in the Principality.
On the streets of Monte Carlo, a new mandatory two-stop rule was brought in by the FIA to try and improve the racing. However, that resulted in teams creating windows for drivers to pit into, slowing others down right behind them in the process, with overtaking still a major challenge.
However, it did not hinder or affect Norris at the front of the grid, who even after an on-the-limit start that nearly saw him crash at St. Devote, managed to retain a lead he would not relinquish until the flag.

Stella excited for continued success with Norris

Norris had been previously doubted regarding his mentality in a world championship fight, but team boss Stella believes there is plenty more to come for the 25-year-old.
"I think Lando kept the high standards, the quality of execution, and the lucidity that he has had throughout the weekend," said the Italian to several media sources, including GPblog, in the Monaco paddock.
"He was faster from lap one in practice one, and he kept building from lap one in practice one to capitalise on a pole position."
With Norris taking P1, and Oscar Piastri taking P3 in Monaco, a 172 point gap between McLaren and Mercedes has opened up, with the British team dominating proceedings after just eight races, aided by the calmness of Norris in the Principality, which Stella praised highly.
"Today, like you say. he went through various situations which required cool blood, I would say, especially, I think, the most stressful moment when was, like I said before, when he went for the second time through the backmarkers, knowing that we could have called him in, and he stayed very lucid, no panic, he came in."
"I really think that Lando deserves to be praised for a very, very well-managed and executed weekend. I think this is just the start of many more coming in the future," concluded an excited Stella.
