Charles Leclerc's manager Nicolas Todt has ramped up the pressure at Ferrari deeming the Scuderia's efforts "not enough to win the title." “A lot of drivers are waiting to see how well each team will have worked, to say ‘I want to stay in my team’ or ‘I want to go to another team.'
- Nicolas TodtWith the Scuderia's inability to capitalise on their 2024 momentum, this season has seen them struggle massively, and after 18 Grands Prix they are still the only top team who hasn't won a single race in 2025, barring Lewis Hamilton's Chinese sprint victory.
With the incoming regulation change, Todt believes drivers will be waiting to see which team has their affairs in order before commiting their future.
He said to the Strait Times: “A lot of drivers are waiting to see how well each team will have worked, and how good their car will be to say ‘I want to stay in my team’ or ‘I want to go to another team because they are doing a better job’.”

When assessing his driver's outlook on the future, Todt observed that Ferrari's car, while "good" is not yet up to title fighting standards, something he and Leclerc hope will change in 2026.
He added: “Charles is one of the best talent of his generation, with Max and a few of the drivers. He’s not a baby any more because he has done a lot of seasons with Ferrari and of course, I think that we still need to have a winning car.
“Today, we have a good car, but not enough to win the title... We hope it will happen and we hope next year Ferrari will have a very good car with the new regulations,” he concluded.
Ferrari in turmoil and Leclerc looks for the exit door?
Reports in Italian media speak of
a growing discomfort in Ferrari's ranks, with team principal Frédéric Vasseur apparently going into a heated argument with a Ferrari trackside personnel following the Singapore GP qualifying.
Reports also indicate that the team's mechanics and engineers would be looking rather unkindly at Leclerc's consistent criticism of the SF-25 given the pressure that is already on the team to achieve better results.
Furthermore, recent rumours have put Vasseur under pressure again, despite his recent contract extension,
linking Horner as a potential replacement to the Frenchman.GPblog's latest F1 Paddock Update
