The FIA has publishd the provisional starting grid for the British GP, following the penalties issues by the race officials, this is the order fans can expect to see the drivers and teams starting the 12th round of the championship in.
Max Verstappen took a scintillating point ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Behind the two McLarens George Russell managed to outperform Lewis Hamilton who made a mistake on his second Q3 push lap run to claim P4 ahead of his former Mercedes teammate in P5.
In P6 came a rather distressed Charles Leclerc ahead of Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who was handed a hefty three-place grid drop for impeding Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard now takes over the Italian's P7 after Antonelli and Oliver Bearman's penalties have been applied. The British Haas driver was found guilty of a red flag infringement which got him 4 points on his super license, the first time a driver has received this punishment, and a 10-place grid drop.
With the penalties already applied, Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz move up twwo places to P8 and P9 with Antonelli rounding off the top ten. Bearman, demoted to P18, saw almost every driver, with the exception of Nico Hulkenberg (P19) and Franco Colapinto (P20), move up a place ahead of him.
