A striking guest at the British Grand Prix this Sunday. A world-famous artist finds himself in the paddock and later on the grid today. However, this singer was supposed to be in another country for a performance.
A big letdown for the visitors of the festivals Rock Werchter and Down the Rabbit Hole this weekend in Belgium and the Netherlands. Headliner Sam Fender cancelled at the very last minute due to medical reasons. What's surprising? Fender can be found at the Silverstone circuit watching the Formula 1 in action.

Fender explains his absence

“Hey everyone, at the beginning of the week I got my voice checked by my ENT doctor and the cords were slightly swollen,” Fender himself shared on Friday on his Instagram.
The singer already performed at Silverstone, where he explained he had to sing 'harder than usual.'
“I’ve just been checked by my ENT again today, as I was concerned about it, and it’s transpired that I’ve had a haemorrhage on one of my vocal cords. This is incredibly frustrating as I have been so careful with my vocal health and this year so far has been the best of my career.”
He also apologised to his fans. However, staying at home is not in Fender's plans, anyway. He decided to stick around for Formula 1 race in his country, where Max Verstappen later today starts from pole position.
