Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner in discussion: What were they talking about?

Jos Verstappen is no longer present at every Grand Prix accompanying his son Max Verstappen. For the British Grand Prix, the former Formula 1 driver did travel to Silverstone, precisely at a time when Max's future is unclear. In the coming weeks, it will be revealed whether Verstappen has enough confidence in Red Bull to also race for the team in '26.

Verstappen Sr and Horner are known to have a strained relationship, although there is mutual respect. However, they do not talk on the phone every day - so to speak. Yet on Saturday, the two were in conversation as they left the Silverstone circuit together.

Of course, it's speculation, but it's plausible that Horner and Verstappen were talking about the improvements Max wants to see. Horner plays a key role in one of these. Verstappen wants to get rid of the internal conflicts, with different camps within the team fighting each other.

Moreover, GPblog has learned that Verstappen does not expect things to calm down as long as Horner alone holds the reins. The Dutchman would prefer Horner to have less power, although there will be no mourning if the Briton leaves the team completely.
