Several teams will have their sight set on recording victories; however, it appears McLaren are the one that could be with a chance of title success this weekend. Several drivers, including Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, are also within touching distance of eclipsing individual feats.

McLaren’s record at the Azerbaijan GP

The papaya coloured outfit could clinch their second consecutive constructors’ championship at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. In any case, this occurs, it would be the 10th time the Woking-based outfit have clinched the constructors’ crown, overtaking Williams Racing in the pecking order.

Lewis Hamilton’s possible record at the Azerbaijan GP

Lewis Hamilton could become the first driver to score 5000 world championship points at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. However, this will only be possible if the Scuderia Ferrari driver records a victory at the Baku street race.

Charles Leclerc’s possible record at Baku

Charles Leclerc could also etch his name into history, as in any instance the Monegasque clinches pole position at the race, he will become the sixth driver to clinch as many as five consecutive pole positions at a single circuit. Sadly for the Ferrari driver, none of his multiple pole positions has translated into victory at the Baku track.

Max Verstappen at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix

The Baku circuit remains one of the tracks on the F1 calendar where Max Verstappen has yet to secure pole position. However, if the Red Bull Racing driver manages to achieve this feat this weekend, he will move ahead of Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel to become second on the list of drivers who have clinched pole at multiple circuits – 23 tracks.
