Charles Leclerc and Frederic Vasseur are looking forward to the rest of the Grand Prix weekend in Italy. At its 'home' Monza, the Maranello-based team is looking to grab at least a podium finish.

Leclerc has only been on the podium three times this season and is looking to regain honours in Ferrari's home race. He is not quite on course for that yet. "
It was a rather tricky day overall. Our performance was quite good. However, I struggled with the car balance. We will have to work on that for tomorrow [Saturday], especially for the short runs, as with high fuel, it seems to be going better,"
said the Monegasque after the second free practice.

First time for Vasseur

While Leclerc has competed several times for the Tifosi at the Monza circuit, for Frederic Vasseur, it is the first time he has experienced the Italian Grand Prix in Ferrari colours. That is a bit different from being the team boss of Alfa Romeo.

In Friday's press conference, Vasseur commented, "From the beginning of the week, I'm trying to say that it's not different to keep everybody calm and focused. But the reality is that it's a bit different. We have had a ton of guests from the beginning of the weekend, and we have had Tifosi at the factory every single day of the week. For sure, it's different. It's a lot of emotion, but we have to try to keep it under control."

Vasseur is new to the team. Has the Tifosi taken a liking to him already? "They are very enthusiastic and positive, and it's a good push and a good motivation for the team. And I hope that we'll be able to give them something on Sunday."
