Fabio Quartararo has reportedly signed a new deal to join Honda, according to Autosport.
2021 MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo will reportedly join Honda from the 2027 season. It is believed that the Frenchman has signed a new two-year deal with the Japanese manufacturer.
This would become the first great transfer of the
2026 silly season. With a new regulation change ahead, every star is available, on paper, to join new teams.
After difficult campaigns with Yamaha, Quartararo is now reportedly making the switch. In 2025, the Frenchman was in fine form, but finished only ninth in the standings. He scored a single Grand Prix podium at the Spanish GP in Jerez.
Autosport also reports that Honda will assess its situation before committing to signing a second rider. In 2026, Joan Mir and Luca Marini will compete for the factory team.
