Pedro Acosta reflected on his first season as a factory KTM rider during the team's season launch event today which showcased the 2026 KTM liveries.
In a pre-recorded presentation, Acosta sat down with his fellow KTM Factory Team rider Brad Binder as the two exchanged questions and gave their thoughts on both last season and the coming year ahead
Acosta, who debuted with Tech3 before being promoted to the factory team in 2025, was one of the stand-out performers of the season.
Despite falling short of the top step, the Murcian managed to achieve five podiums in 2026 and additional seven sprint podiums which helped him to a fourth-place finish in the overall rider standings.
"2025 was for sure not like we expected let's say," began the Spaniard, "the first part of the season was quite tough. We didn't arrive to the expectation we had pre-season and it was quite hard to restart, you know? But it's true that the second half was not bad at all. We were starting to make good races, good results, even not in our best days we were able to manage to be in the top five."

"All in all it was a really good season to even be able to fight for the third place in the championship. This was not a disaster at all."
Acosta will be hoping to attain his first premier class victory this season with KTM, though rumours have been swirling around the paddock that he may be on the move to Ducati in the near future
