The complete 2026 MotoGP calendar: Everything from Thailand to Valencia

The 2026 season

In 2025, no changes had to be made to the MotoGP calendar throughout the season. Like last year, 22 rounds will be contested in MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3.

The season opener will take place in Thailand at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram on March 1. The grid will then visit a new track in Goiania, named after F1 legend Ayrton Senna, as the Brazilian GP replaces Argentina.

The British Grand Prix is one of the events that has moved in the calendar order compared to the past campaign. After the 2025 race was contested in May, the weekend in Silverstone will take place only in August this year.

Aragon also moves to August, while both the Hungarian and Czech Grands Prix will now take place in June.

After the Asian and Australian leg of the season, the grid will return for the final two rounds in Europe. First, the Portuguese Grand Prix will take place on November 15, and the season concludes with the Valencian GP on November 22.

The pre-season

Soon, testing events will also begin in MotoGP. The 2026 shakedown test is set to take place in Sepang this year on January 29-31.

A second test at Sepang will follow a week later on February 3-5. Then, before the season begins, a final Buriram test will take place on February 21-22.
