Former MotoGP world champion Jorge Martin will not ride during the Sepang pre-season test.
The Spaniard had a difficult first season with Aprilia in 2025, suffering multiple injuries throughout the campaign.
Martin went through surgery this off-season as well to repair both his left scaphoid bone and his right collarbone.
It has now been confirmed by Aprilia that the 2024 world champion will not be in action during the Shakedown Test and the Sepang Test either.
The Shakedown Test is scheduled this week from 29 to 31 January, while the Sepang Test runs from 3 to 5 February. Martin will be replaced by Lorenzo Savadori.
Martin will be present at the tests however, and will also appear at the MotoGP season launch in Kuala Lumpur on 7 February.
He could then return for the Buriram test, which will be a two-day event from 21 to 22 February.

Gresini rider Fermin Aldeguer ruled out of pre-season testing following injury

Martin is not the only rider to miss the upcoming testing events. Gresini Racing rider Fermin Aldeguer will also sit out the Sepang Test after suffering a leg injury.
